Why he built Nexa
Born in Bengaluru into a distinguished military family, Sub Maj Saravanan inherited a legacy of courage from his late father — a warrior who fought in the 1965 and 1971 wars and made the supreme sacrifice — and from his mother, who served as a teacher in the Army at MEG & Centre.
After 28 years of service spanning combat operations, elite bomb disposal, and national security advisory roles, he channelled that same discipline into education — founding Nexa Academy with a mission to give young people the structure, mentorship, and career clarity that transforms lives.
